Many talented musicians have called Oklahoma their home to include Charlie Christian which Oklahoma City is proud to claim Charlie as a native son. In present day Oklahoma City's Maurice Johnson sets the stage as a jazz guitarist who has performed with George Benson. My brother Anthony (Tony) Schwartz was a member of the Jazz Ambassadors aka Glen Miller Band and is currently an aritist in residence in Oklahoma City. Tony has performed with the infamous Louie Bellson, Steve Gadd, etc to name a few. Native American Ballerinas The "Five Moons" Rosella Hightower - Vinta, OK - Shawnee Tribe, Yvonne Chouteau - Durwood, OK - Choctaw, Moscelyne Larkin - Miami, OK - Peoria, Shawnee & Russian, Maria Tallchief - Fairfax, OK - Osage and Marjorie Tallchief - Fairfax, OK - Osage were Native American Ballerinas from Oklahoma who performed on the world wide arena.
